Painted Glass Giftware

Individually hand painted kiln formed platters are created by Merinda as a one off or as limited edition pieces. Inspired by the natural beauty of the Tasmanian landscape and island life, the pieces make a unique gift or object to treasure.

Each platter is formed in the kiln by slumping the glass into a mould. The platters are then painted, firstly with a black paint to give shading and form and then with colour.

The paints are traditional stained glass paints that are fired onto the surface forming a permanent bond with the glass, made to last for generations.
