'Leadlight' and 'stained glass' are two words often used interchangeably but they are slightly different things. Leadlight is what many people will think of in a home where individual pieces of coloured or textured glass are cut and joined together with a lead channel between pieces. Stained glass is where the pieces used in a leadlight are first painted or stained with the effect fired in to the glass in a kiln. Stained glass will be more labour intensive. You may think of stained glass as what you might see in a traditional church but this is just one expression of the art form.

The design of a leadlight or stained glass panel can vary from traditional to contemporary, geometric to graphic or loose. We aim to work with you to realise your aesthetic in glass and to make something that you will love form many years.
